Brussels Sprouts with Bacon & Thyme

Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and each cut lengthwise in half
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 4 slices hardwood smoked bacon, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
